About
Henta:
Henta
is a singer/songwriter and has been writing songs for about 20
years. Although classically trained on piano, she progressed to
keyboards ranging from a Yamaha SY55 to a Roland XP-80. She also
still partly owns a baby grand piano which her parents generously
gave her when she was 16, although it now resides with her cousin
John in Guildford.
She
now has a home studio set up in Seattle and uses Cubase SX3/Cubase
4 with mostly virtual instruments for her recordings, as well
as using Ableton LIVE for peformances.
Music
is her true passion and vocation and she tends to write from the
heart, from personal experience and influence of others who come
into her life. She writes both secular and spiritual songs and
hopes that her music touches people in some way.
Collaborations and influences:
Henta
has been in a number of bands and has collaborated with other
musicians and sound engineers on projects in varying styles of
music from ballads - pop - rock - dance - meditation. She has
composed and released much production library music for Northstar
Music and Stock International, many of which often crop up
on the Discovery Channel.
She was also a finalist in Unisong 1999.
One of her most memorable and interesting projects involved working
with Geraint Hughes (www.thepodule.com)
who is famous for co-writing some hits from the 70s some of which
have since been remixed recently, namely 'I lost my heart to a
Starship Trooper' and 'Barbados'. They produced a mixture of covers
and original songs, as well as library pieces together from the
famous 'Podule'.
Another of Henta's other biggest and most recent sources of influence
and support has been Marc Francois (www.darkstate.co.uk)
who has been her sound engineer for La Mint Collection and co-writer
on 'Wanna Luv You' from this collection. Also special thanks go
to Prof Stu and Wes Phd for 'La Mint' inspiration.
2008
Henta
has just finished working on her latest album "Daisy Dancing",
which is a collection of rhythmical and melodical downtempo, ambient
and acoustic heartfelt songs, some of which are collaborations
with artists like David
Miles Huber, Marcell
Marias and Ludington
GT.
"Daisy Dancing" was mixed and mastered by Laz
Harris and CDs are now available through this site.
Henta
will also continue to be involved with and perform at events organised
by EMC (www.electronicmusiccollective.com)
here in Seattle.
Henta
writes and performs mostly now with Marcell
Marias and they have both LIVE downtempo and dance sets Henta
& Marias on Myspace
and plan to produce more videos and cool visuals for their music.
Aspirations:
Henta will continue songwriting, collaborating, gigging and keeping
an open mind to all styles of musical projects. Watch out for
her latest news and collaborations .
